Don’t feel cooped up–let’s play! Were you ready for this blizzard??? Did you get the obligatory milk, eggs, toilet paper, etc.? Did you remember your deck of My Inspiration Cards (MIC)? Well these kids were ready! They are playing a great game of Feisty Angels! Did you know that, to my knowledge, these playing cards, called My Inspiration Cards, are the only cards that include 2 Angel cards in each deck? Oh, you want to see what these cute little Angel cards look like? Well, okay! Each Angel card has the word Angel up the side and an inspirational scripture on each; however, the newer decks also have this cute Angel. Here she is:
She really is pretty cute! This is one of the things that makes MIC special. Each deck has 2 Angel cards–HOWEVER, THIS GRAPHIC IS A NEW ADDITION TO THE ANGEL CARDS. THE OLDER DECKS HAVE 2 ANGEL CARDS (with the word Angel) AS WELL BUT, SO FAR, JUST THE 2 NEW DECKS INCLUDE THIS GRAPHIC–THE PEACE AND FROG DECKS.
Are you ready?
A week has passed and we all need to be ready!
Avoid the stress of always playing catch up and mark your calendar now! What??? Don’t even tell me that! You don’t have your 2016 calendar yet? Ugh! Well, okay, let’s start right there!
Select your calendar. Click on that nice calendar above and it will link you right into Amazon–they will have it to you really quick!
Once you have your calendar:
Start plugging things in—such as birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, and events—such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Next, put in your lead times. For example, Christmas is in December; however, you will want to start planning in August—so mark that on your calendar. Be thinking about where you will spend Christmas, for whom you will need to purchase gifts, where you’ll eat on Christmas day and also Christmas Eve, when you need to start the baking, Christmas card addresses, etc. and put all of that on your calendar. Do a little at a time and you will live a more stress-free life!
But let’s get current. Now is the time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day! Do you have a valentine? If so, go ahead and make your dinner reservations–restaurants book early–also, call the bakery and get on the list for those special Valentine chocolate-covered strawberries, and start paying attention to the things your Valentine might mention in conversation. Won’t he/she be so surprised when that little gift is opened–to see that you really care! Listen for the clues!
Along with those yummy strawberries, a nice deck of cards might be a fun, small, and inexpensive gift! Be sure to shop the store at www.MyInspirationCards.com/store to see all 10 decks! What a fun and unique gift–a great way to spend your Friday evenings with the one who you love!
Thank you for being a gift to me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Thank you for being a customer of My Inspiration Cards. I am getting a little less shy–a little bolder (I use that word loosely) with marketing, but I still fall VERY short (no pun intended)!
My Christmas gift to you is this copy of a card game that uses one of the 2 Angel cards in your deck of MIC. To my knowledge, these are the only decks of playing cards that include Angel cards so please enjoy this special game of Feisty Angel! (click on the blue Feisty Angel)
Sneak peak! In February, the new (2016) FROG deck will be released! This is actually the 3rd edition of Fully Rely on God playing cards! I am giving you a sneak peak at the card back!
The scriptures are still being selected so if you have a favorite, now is the time to let me know! Just use the contact form to send me a note! I already have 8 picked out and need just 7 more. I will message you back to let you know if your scripture selection got to me in time!
Oh my–did you just ask what you can do to help this MIC ministry of getting His word out in a fun way? Well, I have confessed that marketing is NOT a gift of mine, so if you would like to get the word out to your friends about MyInspirationCards.com that would be great! If you, or they, would like to place an order, just go to the blog and add /store to the end–so it looks like this:
Visit my blog and sign up to receive my posts and newsletter. I only write one or two posts a month and only one newsletter every 4 to 6 weeks so don’t worry, you won’t be flooded with email from me!
In the monthly newsletter (I am still looking for a name so if you have a suggestion, please let me know), you will learn things like the this:
- The Rejoice and 2014 FROG decks are being retired.
- The sale of just 7.99 per deck will end as of December 31, 2015, at which time the decks will go back up to 9.99 per deck (with free shipping).
- The new Peace deck has 15 different scriptures and has been going very well.
My Merry Christmas wish for you is that of happiness and peace. May you and your loved ones find 2016 filled with love, peace, hope, many blessings, good health, and above all, His Agape’ love.

‘Peace, what a wonderful world this could be,’ or maybe this song–Do You Hear What I Hear –‘Said the King to the people everywhere; pray for peace people everywhere’ is what you would like your life song to be. Or, how about this one– ‘Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.’
Good grief, what is going on in our nation and the world? How can we teach our children not to use profanity, not to hit, and not to hurt people when they see so much violence? I remember when our Mom would say, “If you have nothing nice to say. . .”
Well peace can start in our families. It can then trickle into our relationships and eventually into the world. Let us promote peace through our words, actions, and deeds. We have to do something and that is where we can start.
In an Instagram post on November 14, the day after the Paris killings, Madonna pleaded during her concert “Pray for peace–in Paris and all around the world.” We are all feeling it–the despair. When will this stop?
About 3 weeks ago–right before the Paris killings–I awoke suddenly and this is what the Lord put on my heart: Peace; just that one word. I got chills and then I got busy. When I feel His urging, I get busy. I know that when He talks to me in the middle of the night, I need to listen.
To shorten this story a bit–Peace–the latest deck of MIC was born after many hours of research, design, and prayer. There is no shortage of scriptures on Peace in the Bible. My husband and I did a show in Ocean City last weekend and this deck of Peace was very well received. They are going quickly—some folks told us that they plan to include these scriptures in their daily prayers.
Use this Peace deck to play games OR use it for the daily hope and inspiration that these scriptures can provide. Visit the MIC store to view this deck as well as others.
Give a gift of inspiration this Christmas. Peace–it starts with us. Spread joy–let us all be a blessing to others. As the song promotes–Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.
Please share this post with your Facebook and Twitter friends. Let us all promote PEACE and spread joy this wonderful ‘Holyday’ season!
Lucky Angels is the name of the latest card game here at My Inspiration Cards! Don’t miss this fun game! So, do you know what makes My Inspiration Cards different, special, inspirational, and fun?
- Well, they are different because there are no jokers. Each deck contains 2 angel cards. There are 54 total cards in each deck and 2 of those cards are angels!
- They are special because each deck is sent with a prayer. The prayer is simple. Lord, let these cards make it safely to the purchaser. Let them bring joy and inspiration to those who receive them. Let your message shine through these cards. In your name I pray, Amen.
- These cards are inspirational because each card has an uplifting scripture. Some decks have 6 different scriptures—one for each suit and angel. Other decks have 15 different scriptures—one for each number, court or face card, and one for each angel.
- They are fun because they provide hours of time together with family, loved ones, or special friends. They also provide special down time by yourself as in a game of solitaire where it is just you, the cards, and the inspirational scriptures on each card.
So, without further ado, here is the new game–I am including it as a printable so that you can print it out and include it with your other games. The big catch is that you play it with a deck of cards that has angel cards. You can get these at www.MyInspirationCards.com/store. Each deck comes with 2 Angel cards! Click at the end of this line on the words Lucky Angels for the rules of this fun, new game!
Perfect stocking stuffer or Christmas gift exchange!

Spread a little love, happiness, and kindness today!
Put them behind you! So, I know you have heard it said, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” That is a cute little saying. Well, this year I celebrated my 21st birthday — yes, AGAIN–LOL! As I continue down life’s road and continue to remember some of my favorite times, I realize I have had some missed opportunities. Well, that stinks. Today IS the first day of the rest of your life. Make it count. Don’t have regrets–today is the day to make that happen!
I have missed opportunities to:
- tell people I love them,
- missed the opportunity to pay it forward by paying the toll of the person behind me in the toll booth line,
- let someone who is behind me at the grocery store have my place in line,
- leave unused coupons next to the product in the store,
- smile to others,
- set my phone alarm to go off at different times during the day to remind me to do something or say something kind for/to someone else,
- offer to babysit for free to someone who may need a night out,
- write a kind note to someone,
- thank others, and/or
- email or write to a teacher who made a difference.
Now I know you would like to chime in on this so PLEASE leave a comment on this post as to what random acts of kindness you have done OR hope to do in the near future! This world is a crazy place these days as evidenced, once again, by these senseless killings that are going on in our nation. I hope to spread love through random acts of kindness. Let’s do what we can to make a difference in this world!
When was the last time you watched Pay it Forward (click here to order your copy) starring Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt? The Young Reader’s Book Edition can be found here–great for middle schoolers! These make great Christmas gifts!
Speaking of kindness and Christmas–need some ideas? For Kitty (my grandmother who did not like to be referred to as “grandmother”), I used to give self-made-coupon gifts at Christmas. A little “coupon” redeemable for taking her grocery shopping every week for the entire year. You could also do this for your special someone–a coupon to spend time together with those you love. It could be for once a week, once a month, or 4 times a year–whatever works best for you.
That reminds me of my post about Serve–How Can We Serve? However, what I would really like to talk about is about our biggest gift to others. That is our time. Let’s make some time to “hang out” with those special people in our life. Fun times–let’s have a game night!
Which deck of My Inspiration Cards will be best for you and your game night? Well, there are 10 decks in all. Actually a couple of these decks are just about sold out, but no worries, we can get you hooked up with whichever deck you would like. Here are just 6 of the 10 options. Click on my web store to see all 10 decks!
Let’s spend some inexpensive fun with our family/friends–those who we love. Give the gift of your time. Spend Friday nights with a pizza, a deck of cards, and those dear to you! Have some fun playing your favorite card game and making wonderful memories! You may also want to get some decks to use for stocking stuffers this year!
October 2015 SPECIAL! For every 4 decks you purchase, you will receive ONE FREE DECK! just specify the deck you would like for free in the comments section at checkout or feel free to send me an email! Christmas is around the corner and I am getting in the spirit!
There are 4 other decks so be sure to go to my web store to check them out! My next post is going to include some card game rules. Please let me know if you have one in particular that you would like to see here!

I would also like to let you know how very much I appreciate your time reading and perusing my little Blog!
Let’s not have any. Spread a little love, happiness, and kindness today!
Yikes! Last week my computer crashed and life as I knew it came to a halt. My email, blog, the church’s website, and online research for the church’s latest flyer came to a screeching halt. What should I do? I couldn’t do anything online, couldn’t tweak the design of the new deck of cards, couldn’t blog, and couldn’t do any of the million things on my to-do list. Ugh! What a horrible, no-good day–much like the movie I remember as a child. So, out of frustration, I took my unspent gift certificates and went to the mall.
There was absolutely nothing on TV; thankfully, though I did remember my post a while back about playing cards–check it out here –so I got out a deck of cards from My Inspiration Cards and played several games! The stress started to melt away. I also explored the world of Sudoku and did a few puzzles. This was great but in the morning my computer was still a mess.
Time for summer sendoff–already? Really? Where did it go? I haven’t even been to the beach yet and it’s only an hour away. Goodbyes are hard–especially this one.
