I confess that Easter is the most difficult holiday for me; well actually it is today that is the most difficult for me—Good Friday.
To think He died on the cross—a horrific death—for me is simply unfathomable. Why on earth? In the grand scheme of things, I am no one. Well, maybe for my family I am okay—most days! But why on earth would He die for me? Well, it is simple—because He loves me.
It is not just me. It is YOU as well. He died on the cross for you—for your sins. Why? Because He loves you too.
Jesus loves the little children, all little children of the world—red and yellow, black and white—we are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world. Remember singing that song? Well, it is true.
Salvation is available. We just need to profess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (and mean it) and we are promised eternal life. It’s that simple. Now I am not sure about all the unrest in this world and what Jesus has planned but John 16:33 tells us this: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
