Random or not?
Was this random? I recently had the pleasure of stumbling (a good stumble) upon ServantMama.com. Have you ever wanted to help someone but weren’t sure how? Sarah from ServantMama came up with this awesome way to serve. Read all about her Blessing Bags on her blog post right here. This random act of kindness is one we can all participate in and prepare for opportunities ahead of time. This will definitely be a blessing to others and also to you.
I have found that my little random acts of kindness bless me just as much as, if not more than, those whom I gift. This idea of spreading blessings has been one of the recurring themes throughout this blog. The posts about Regrets (and avoiding them) and Serve have given us some ideas. Now I want to hear all about you and your idea of how we can bless others. Let’s spread some blessings and help happiness grow. Send me an email and let me share your random (or purposeful) act!
The world just continues to get crazier each and every day. I often ask myself what I can do to make a difference. Just this past weekend my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting, and striking up a conversation with, someone who had some things/challenges going on in his life. We listened and before we parted ways, I offered (and he accepted) a deck of playing cards with scriptures on them from My Inspiration Cards. (I happened to have a deck in my purse and we felt led to spread a little inspiration.) A small act can make a big difference. I am not sure that this act made a difference at all but, then again, I am not sure that it didn’t.
The M.I.C. deck called Serve and Protect features scriptures for police and firefighters who serve and protect us here on earth. The military deck called Armor of God features scriptures that chaplains use to minister to our troops who serve. There are 10 decks from which to choose. You can check them out at the Shop for Cards link above the title of this post.
Today’s post was the one I promised–on random acts. What would you like to share? Please email me at MyInspirationCards@gmail.com to share your random act. Let’s spread a little love through blessing others–be it random or purposeful.
